Hello! My name is Mariah Jackson and I am 19 years old. I was born and raised in Florida and I just finished my first year at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I can sing the names of the 50 states in alphabetical order, cook a mean omelet, and properly check and change the oil in a car. My favorite president is George Washington and I wanted to be a spy as a kid. I am the youngest of five children and I prefer to walk barefoot. I love oreos, movies, the ocean, superheroes, traveling, and babies. I plan on becoming a nurse-midwife (delivering babies!!!).
I have chosen to devote the next 18 months of my life to serve a proselyting and service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, better known as the Mormons, in the Brazil Curitiba South Mission. I will give you the sweet and simple version of what I know to be true about life. We have a Father in Heaven and a brother Jesus Christ who have enabled us to be forgiven of our sins and find personal peace through the Atonement. God’s truth was once lost from the earth but has been restored by modern-day prophets. I know that we can find true joy and happiness in this life and in the afterlife by following the commandments of Jesus Christ.
